The Rev. Dr. Katharine Henderson, President

The Rev. Dr. Katharine Rhodes Henderson is President of Auburn Theological Seminary. Author of God’s Troublemakers: How Women of Faith are Changing the World, Henderson is an international leader in theological education and has pioneered programs for excellence in religious leadership of all faiths and progressive moral leadership in the public square. She is also a regular contributor to the Washington Post/Newsweek blog, “On Faith” that can be found here: http://newsweek.washingtonpost.com/onfaith/panelists/katharine_henderson/.


Rabbi Justus Baird, Director of The Center for Multifaith Education

Rabbi Justus N. Baird is the Director of the Center for Multifaith Education.  He oversees the seminary's multifaith programming which strives to prepare religious leaders for a religiously diverse world, including the flagship youth program Face to Face|Faith to Faith. He teaches the Multifaith Seminar in the Multifaith Doctor of Ministry Program, a partnership between Auburn and New York Theological Seminary.  His chapter "Multifaith Continuing Education: Leading Faithfully in a Religiously Diverse World" appeared in the revised edition (2009) of A Lifelong Call to Learn: Approaches to Continuing Education for Christian Leaders.


The Rev. J.C. Austin, Director of The Center for Christian Leadership

Rev. J.C. Austin is the Director of The Center for Christian Leadership. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Cape Town in the field of Christian Ethics and Public Life and working on a book that examines how and why Christianity influences international policy by shaping global moral values, such as the consensus against genocide, slavery, and racism. He is also a regular contributor to the Huffington Post.


Dr. Barbara Wheeler, Director of The Center for Theological Education

Barbara Wheeler is Director of the Auburn Center for the Study of Theological Education, which she founded in 1991. For thirty years, she also served as President of Auburn. She is the author of articles and book chapters on theological education and the future of religion in North America. With Daniel Aleshire, Jackson Carroll and Penny Long Marler, she wrote Being There, an award-winning book on the culture of theological schools.  Barbara Wheeler is an elder in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and has served on several national boards and task forces.


Macky Alston, Director of Auburn Media

Macky Alston serves as Director of Auburn Media. Alston is an award-winning filmmaker and an organizer in the worlds of media and religion. He has received the Sundance Film Festival Freedom of Expression Award, the Gotham Open Palm Award, three Emmy nominations, and appeared widely in the press, including The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Today Show and The New York Times.
