Christian-Hindu Dialogue

Ariarajah, Wesley. Not Without My Neighbor: Issues in Interfaith Relations. Geneva: World Council of Churches, 1999.

The author, a native of Sri Lanka, is a Methodist minister with deep experience in Hindu-Christian dialogue. This brief book addresses some of the perennial spiritual, social, theological, practical, and political issues occasioned by multi-faith encounters, such as the possibility of praying together, the role of women in dialogue, inter-religious marriage, and the relationship of dialogue to mission. Special attention is given to inter-religious dialogue in the face of conflict, and sustaining the credibility of dialogue in the face of complex socio-political issues.
